I plan to start with just 1 14gph nozzle after the TB before the rotors, but could put in the second one rather easily if I wanted to.

Why would you want it so close to the rotors? Having it further away will get you better atomization and a more even dispersion in the air supply.

I dont know about a whipple, but on a TVS the worry was that being closer could have a bit of a bead blast effect on the rotors. Just some food for thought.

The intake tract on the whipples has to make a 150 degree turn or so and its a good foot to 1.5' away from the actual rotors, it should have plenty of time to vaporize. The turbulence through the rotors will help with vaporization.

All this talk of more parts breaking during the 1/4 mile.. what's the theory/reasoning behind this?

My initial thought is that the most stress is put upon the truck during the first 60 feet.

For normal humans like you and I this is generally true. Even I'm not in the ball park where blowing a motor on the back half of the track is my biggest concern.

Atomic is on a different level.

His username and avatar are very fitting for a reason. You dont make the power he was making without some serious heat. Melting engine parts type of heat...

Got my spacer done! Got one in 1/2" and 1". Turned out to be more expensive to do than I thought, but thats ok.

Both of them stacked,

Now just need it machined it for the oring and should be good to go! Ill take some pics of the distance from the bottom of the manifold to the intercooler, its pretty close without any spacer.
