Yea custom headgaskets was the cheapest option and actually may be the best since my quench distance is now much larger. 0.080 mls cometic gaskets, about $300 for the pair.

Really good!

Heres the thread I made about last weekend: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-bodys-526908/

Gist of it is I had a couple races with some fox bodys on slicks and spray....beat the first one, but lost the next two. First loss was off his go and I accidentally took my finger off the 2 step switch so instead of 3400rpm and about 13lb it went to 4500rpm and 30+ so I spun off the launch. Lost by a fender. On the rematch the coolant hose to the waterpump came off since I forgot to tighten it, I launched on him hard and was pulling him though. Wouldve won by a car length probably. Refilled with water and drove 2 hours home.

The gaskets work great. Drove down there, put in 5 gallons of c16, and let it eat! Bumped up timing 3 degrees with the race gas and since im running a lot more meth now. Tune was super rich the whole time, about 0.65 lambda so there is power left for sure. Overall im very happy with the truck, especially with how it launches. If I can find a sticky track Ill let it eat 20psi out of the hole!

Goal this season is a 5.999. I may be close to that now, but havent been to a track in a while. I should have the mph for it, just need a good launch.

I am working on getting rid of the log manifold and running a flipped factory manifold and moving the turbo over so I can run 2 wastagates. Probably a couple weeks out on that.

Very nice! Good to know those new gaskets are holding.

All that fancy stuff....still gonna get your **** dragged by a log manifold setup with a smaller turbo and smaller engine
