It's actually riding quite a bit better after I removed the bump stop mounting bracket per Roger's recommendation. I'm debating now whether I should bother removing a spring or not. Either way, I already ordered to Caltracs, so that's what I'm going with, lol.
If I do decide to remove a spring I'll pull the center one as silver-mod-o recommended above. If I don't [pull a spring, I'll have to buy a longer spring pin to go through the 4* shims. Will the Caltracs raise the back end at all?

Chris, you'll need new center bolts for your leaf packs no matter what. The old ones often break. Even in they don't break, they'll be rusted really bad & you won't want to re-use them. If you have a spring shop near you, stop by and see if they have bolts with taller pins. You'll need a taller pin or it will not reach through your 4* shim and still have enough to reach into your spring perch on the axle. If they don't have the bolts with taller pins, then ask them for some spacers. I have some spacers here that I can mail to you if needed.
About Cal-Tracs & removing leafs. The overload leaf is the one I usually remove with Cal-Tracs. If you leave it on, it seems like the overload hits the bar. I don't have a pic to show you what I'm talking about... Anyways, that's just been my experience with them. I have 4 or 5 trucks set up this way, including my 1500, and no complaints about ride quality from anybody. I think proper preload of the bars is key here.
You need very little preload. Too much WILL raise the rear of the truck. Once the bar is touching the top of the leaf spring, crank the bar 1/2 to 3/4 turn tighter, then lock the jam-nuts. I'd start with 1/2 turn of preload and see how it acts.

I found a 60hp tune over on DP that a member made that had good reviews, thinking about loading it up. Shouldn't be enough to hurt the trans or anything.

Grease = slick. Slick = less friction. Less friction = less drag. Less drag = faster. Therefore, we can deduce that Grease = Faster, and extending that theory, More Grease = More Faster. Duh
