I've seen alot guys bolt them to the side of the frame on the gas tank side. Make a small shield and they are super easy to change out.

I got all of the plumbing done yesterday (new filter head, larger tank pick up, pumps mounted, and all hoses routed)...going to finish the wiring today. The Kennedy harness uses an oil pressure switch to turn the pumps on and off, haven't figured out where that goes yet. Should be interesting.

The Kennedy filter kit goes under the airbox. There's not much room on the frame rail to mount stuff on my truck, took me a long time to even figure out where to put the pumps. I'll get some pics today. Since the 2500s don't come in RCSB configuration most of the diesel guys have plenty of room to mount stuff.

This isn't my photo, but my installation is the same. I'm running this filter as a secondary to the OEM, that's the configuration Kennedy recommends.

Lines. I already had the steel braided section since I shortened the factory hard lines.

Fuel sender changes. The large line on the right used to be the tank vent, and is now the feed line. I swapped the tank vent over to the original smaller feed line.

Kennedy's control harness is pretty slick. The main control box mounts under the hood. It has a momentary button on it for manual pump activation, which is really handy when bleeding fuel filters. No more pumping the stock filter head to prime everything. It also has an ignition on sense wire that runs the pumps for a few seconds when the ignition is first switched to run, much like the gas vehicles do. The main on/off switch actually comes from an oil pressure sensor, so the fuel pumps will only run when the engine is actually on.
