Got the bumper raised today!

Frame horns and lower mounting bracket needed to be removed to allow the bumper to lift upwards.

Cutting off the frame horns:

Brackets cut and painted:

I used washers and a bolt on each side to lift the bumper. Ended up raising it about 1.25 inches. The driver's side had to come up an extra 1/8" or so to line up correctly with the lights. I think the radiator support might be tweaked up a little on the driver's side, that's the side that took the impact on the donor truck. Not a big deal.

Sides line up pretty well with the fenders

Tow hooks still fit too, just sit a little lower than normal

that thing is sweet! does that engine have egr? if so delete that. get ppe manifolds and up pipes along with a fleece performance cheetah turbo. Airdog lift pump. high flow injectors. Efi live tune with DSP5 switch. get an ATS stage 2 trans. fire it up, buckle up and be ready for a **** ton of power!

get a good set of egt, boost, and trans temp gauges in that truck to monitor everything!

It's pretty short, I think maybe 43 or 45 inches or something? Pinion angle isn't great right now, but I have some 4 degree shims waiting to go in when I get my CalTracs. Should be fun when I get the first guy that tries to tell me they never put Duramaxes in 1500's, lol.

EGR is necessary to pass emissions. Can't delete, but I do want to try to find a creative way to block and disable it. I have a list of performance parts picked out, just waiting for additional room in the budget. Going to do a Mike L/Englewood Trans, get a DSP5 tune from Idaho Rob probably, downpipe, LML D/S manifold, Air Dog or PPE lift pump, and maybe eventually a twin turbo kit.
