One of the many reasons I no longer give a **** about doing things the "right" way as far as the government is concerned. Theyre tards. I live in a non emissions county, if you need any help you have my number. Good luck man.

Thanks Yep this is stupid...they are encouraging people to cheat the law. My wife just told me that her brother would let me register it at his place in AZ if it came down to it. He lives in a non-emissions county. So worst case, if Colorado flags it somehow, I can title and register it in AZ.

Sorry to say, this is one of the many reasons I tried to convince you to just shorten the frame on a 2500 chassis. Doing that or registering it in a non emissions county is about your only legal option's the way the emission rules work.

I hope it all works out for you.

Eric at Duraburb posted in my thread on another site and told me that I can get a reconstructed vehicle title, which basically takes it from being a GM vehicle to being a custom vehicle, show that all of the safety equipment works, that the engine is the same or newer than the chassis/body, and that I meet the emissions requirements for the engine, and I should be good to go. That's how they do it on their d-max swaps when the GVWR is less than 8000 lbs. So that will be another option if the state flags me.

Did you read up on that subject in your state??? You may need to have a special licence for that. Some states require a buisness to get a special licence for vehicle construction and reconstruction in order for a finished vehicle to get re-titled properly. This is so the average person can not cercumvent the system to avoid paying fee's. It also holds some one accountable should the vehicle not be constructed properly.

You might want to double check if you can complete the process your self or if you need some one with a licence to do it for you.

I'm crossing my fingers that the state just changes the title and sends me an updated one. I'll explore the other options if necessary.

So on to ride quality....this thing sucks right now. Front is ok I think, but the rear is beating me up, maybe the extra weight on the front removed some from the rear? I was thinking about removing a leaf spring, never messed with it before though so I'm not sure what the effect would be. Should I remove the overload? Not sure how much that would affect things, or maybe I should take out the middle spring instead? Anyone have experience with this?

The bracket is still there, I bought shorter Belltech bump stops. I still have 2 inches of clearance or so, and I can take out the bracket if necessary.

The shocks aren't ET Streets, they are Belltech Street Performer.
