Wierd sound...Help?

Default Wierd sound...Help?

There is this wierd really low booping sound coming from the dash area... its really getting on my nerves and pissing me off...i dont know where to start looking, i know its electrical because it happens even when the key is on accessory...someone please help

its not loud enough for anything i have to record it...and auto HVAC controls? Its a 2003 silverado ls 5.3 if that helps

Okay. Here's a long shot. Next time you key it up and it's making the noise, find the little speaker-looking thing above your head. Tap on it or bang on it(don't break it) and see if it changes or stops. It's an auto-HVAC sensor, and they have a pretty high failure rate. They make a really weird whooping noise when they go bad.

that speaker thing is for the hvac ?! ive been racking my brain to figure out what it is. i also have a mic that the previous owner installed and i cant figure out where it goes to. il have to do some digging.

The mic by your overhead console would be for Onstar. Factory equipment.

no, its the stock headunit...and i dont see the little speaker thing yall are talking about, i dont think that i have it...
