a few problems

ok heres the deal. I have been having misfires in cylinders 2 and 7 for quite some time now and havn't been able to figure out the problem. About a week ago i noticed that my truck was using oil. Today I checked the oil and was 2 quarts low. I noticed that there is oil on the side of my battery and next to the battery. I have an ati procharger and its seems that there is oil coming out of the by pass valve, which is very wierd. The only thing i could think of is somehow there is oil coming threw my vacuum tubes. I have also found oil on a couple of my spark plugs wires and different places around the motor. It is very wierd, it is like there is oil being sprayed from somewhere. I am also having a problem with my truck cutting out. I will be driving and give it a little gas and the rpms will drop a couple hundred rpms, then it will be back to normal. It does this over and over, like it is surging or something. Anyway there is something wierd wrong, does anybody have any idea whats going on?

numbers 2 and 7 are missfiring on mine as well, i checked the compression and its about 80psi instead of a normal 125. i checked the cylinders next to 7 and 2 and the compression is the same. all the other 4 cylinders are just fine. i think the head gaskets are blown on mine, or had faulty gaskets installed. im gonna find out tomorrow for sure, im gonna do a test a mechanic told me. he said to pull the number 7 plug, and the teh plug of the cylinder next to it. then just blow some air from a compressor into one plug hole and see if you feel air coming out of the next cylinder. he said that about 90 percent of the cases where you feel air coming out, its a head gasket. and if you got a head gasket just barely blown on the outside edge, it could be sending oil spraying out the side at high pressure thus your oil everywhere. just my 2 cents. ill be tearing the heads off mine this coming weekend.

Broken pistons rings or cracked pistons, I would bet money on it. You could be lazy like me and spray juice to it and find the problem really fast. It should surge really bad when the boost comes up and there will be oil inside of the intake tube.
This is just my opinion and experience. Sorry.

seems strange to me that its number 7 and number 2,,,, in all acutallaty, its the exact same spot on the head. cuz if you put the right cylinder head on the left side, it would become number 2 with the problem. and visa versa. plus im lookin to the good side that its something simple and inexpensive like a head gasket. lol

I don't think it is the piston or rings. If i get the motor over 3000 rpms or so it stops surging. If I floor it, it runs normal. Also, I had the same surging problem a couple of weeks ago and it went away and came back today
