Default wierd idle

something wierd happend today. i went to the store and when i came out i started the truck and after the idle went down it passed 500 rpm and went to like 200-300 rpm. thought that was wierd and thought it will adjust. put in reverse and it kinda wanted to die on me. i put in park and reved it up a few times but each time it would fall to 200 RPM. so drove it how i could home. and when i pulled up to the driveway no problem, it was idling normal at 500 RPM.

no codes poped up. only thing i can think of is that maybe my MAF wires are dirty?
any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Wierd .. I never had this problem before. I did have something where I could rev the engine in park and it would drop down to 300-400 and come back up. I think it was crappy tuning though.

How many miles you got on it? May be some build up on the IAC port in your throttle body. It would be easy, and cheap, to remove it and clean it out.

Mine does this all the time. Hot or cold. One time it died making a U-turn on the street. Scared the **** outta me cause cars were coming from the other direction. I hope someone can figure this one out. I thought it might be my HPP3?

do you have any carbon built up in the TB? i know that causes sticky throttle but is there a chance it could block flow at idle?
this almost sounds like a computer or sensor problem tho...
