Default 03 z06 cam in a lq9

Hey guys i was wondering if i can put a z06 cam in the lq9 with out any other changes

I do have some springs but i don't think they will fit the stock retainers.

You do need to do the springs also. You can buy them brand new (ls6 yellows) from SDPC----> for like 60$

You don't have to. I've put that cam in a couple motors now with the stock push rods

Yep or for $62 and some change more do the PAC springs (PAC's version of the 918s).

How much of a difference is it? I thought the lq9 already had a good cam from the factory

Yea i have some dual springs i think there patriot there gold

But i don't have the other parts to make it work.

Whats the reason for stiffer springs??

Can i get by with the stock lq9 springs I wont rev high if thats the problem
whats the max rpm of a z06 cam lq9 is 5600 i think

They all so allow more travel for the increase in lift. I shifted my 4.8 at 6200.

Honestly I don't know, but for 60 dollar springs I wouldn't want to find out.
