Not yet no aquireing parts for a 4.8 setup this next year while I'm building the 427. So it Dosent sit too long. I may put the turbo on it for kicks I haven't decided yet. I have spray too so It would probly spool decent ha. If it does go on it I probly won't push it very hard till the 427 is done.

Thanks guys! I sold the LSA blower setup. The turbo and Hotside, down pipe, and the dual Turbonetics gates showed up.

Most guys compare the turbo to pop cans.. I compare mine to 5gallon buckets!!

I acquired a 05 4.8 for 250$ W/325k miles from a local salvage yard. Upon tearing it down for inspection, I learned some things.. It is a gen III engine, but the deck has short head bolts and the rods apear to be full floating I was kinda suprised to see that normally on a lot of the 6.0's I've gotten had the longer head bolts and pressed pins. Other than the Denali and escalades atleast for the iron blocks. Maybe that's just my luck. Ha, just thought was abnormal luck for once. I prefer the short head bolt motors when l lean hard on them. Anyhow I'm going to check it all out run a ball hone thru it, probly throw a set of rings in it, file them loose, and run it this season. While I build the 427 setup.

I hope I don't regret this, the lifter guides had mold growing in the sludge build up, the rocker arms were rusted and one of the cylinders had some minor pitting from something going thru it like a plug or dirt or something.. Anyhow I hope I don't regret this. I will probly play it safe for a bit on it. Under 20psi till the 427 is built then I'm gonna see how far it can go.

So you got the small turbo then...

All the 05 up Gen 3 LS motors are like that. Short head bolts and floating pin rods.

Just an update:
I sold all the LSA Supercharger parts, the 8 rib accessory drive and the blower cam, and the 10% over drive pulley. The 4.8 is nearing completion I got notification the cam shipped today. So I mocked the Turbo stuff up on the 4.8 on the stand and saw the flanges on the log were warped really bad. Not terribly happy about it, dunno what's gonna happen I'll probly just build my own I'm tired of relying on others to do things. I'm very picky, it's another set back of many.
