There is one on the back of the driver side cover, but it is closed when under boost. I have a breather on the passenger side, but I guess thats not enough.

I think I may some engine damage, lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. Logic says piston rings....

Maybe, did you check the compressor wheel for play in the shaft? If it's loose then the seals are toast.

No play in the shaft, and the wheel spins freely and smoothly

In that case, probably a ring. I don't see what else could cause it to smoke. But just for safe measure, I'd check the inside of the intake pipes for oil. That's a definite way to see if the turbo is leaking or not.

Sounds like a stock 6.0 might be the the ticket for you! I sure hope something simple went wrong. This just isn't working out. I am guessing you must not have a wife because any woman would have killed you buy now. Event my girlfriend who is the easiest going, doesn't care one bit what I do would probably freak out over the problems you are having.

I hope and pray for you every time I look at this thread because it is full of much more bad then it is of glorious smiles of victory.

id put a stock 6.0, stock L92 heads, LS9 head gaskets, ARP head studs and let it rip...seems to me this thing is causing tooo much trouble imo. atleast im not the only one that has a project that eats up the savings/pay checks very quickly.

I really hope it's not the motor again. You've bad so much bad luck lately, it's time something goes in your favor! I hope you get all of the bugs worked out, so you can start enjoying all of the hard work you've put into it.
