So while there is room for the 1" spacer to fit in the engine bay, I discovered it is impossible to install because of the angle the supercharger has to make to go between the engine and the cowl. So it looks like the 1/2" spacer will be the one I use. That will make it a little harder on the guys doing the spray bars, but thats why they make the big bucks haha

I also picked up a new hvac assembly with all the crap so I swapped that out this weekend. Hopefully all the vents and crap works fine now. I was not looking forward to this so I am glad I got it over with.

How hard or annoying would it be to cut a notch out of the cowl? I know you would have to weld in a patch and have two "separate cowls", i guess.

I have only messed with that area in one vehicle, and that was a 1983 camaro

Im not sure exactly, but its more than I want to do at this point. Not sure how much an additional half inch would help since there are diminshing returns at some point. Maybe when I have to with a larger blower I will find out

So maybe 3/4" is the ticket or will the 1/2" be tall enough to reduce the intake port shrouding?

Any amount will help to be honest. It kind of has a dual purpose though; space the blower up, and allow spray bars.

will the spray bars be able to go across without hitting? it seems that the cooler sticks down more than a half inch.
