I am no genius, and I may be way off. But it sounds to me like a grounding problem or maybe a fuse. Like I said, I may be way off. But that is where i would start.

I had this problem back in the winter, clean your grounds on the driver side cab mount, everything should go back to normal after that

Ok, im bring this back. its gotten to where its on all the time. just before it stayed on, i noticed its when i hit the switches. so i believe something is loose even though i checked every ground i could see. where exactly is this ground at the driver side body mount? where the cab bolts to the frame, or the firewall?

its the body mount mount on the frame right at the front of your drivers side door, there should be 2-3 wires bolted to the frame, they or the frame may have corrosion on them.

I've read that the 03+ trucks are prone to instrument cluster problems...maybe something's wrong with your cluster?
