Z06 Cam in 4.8L

mainly mid and upper rpm power... you would probably loose some low end without a stall
it would drive and idle fine, but if you tow or use 2000rpm and below alot then you might suffer their untill you got a small stall

The 01' Z06 cam has less lift and more LSA so it impacts low end performance less than the 02+ cam does. The obvious trade off is top end performance. The 01' is cheaper and can be used with the stock truck valve springs on a budget ( 0.525 vs 0.550 gross lift ).

If you are gonna throw ls6 heads on top of it all, first you are gonna have to get the heads milled a bit in order to get the compression back up due to the ls6 head having a larger combustion chamber. As for adding a ls6 cam with those heads, yea it would work ok and produce power but i would look into a different cam that would take full advantage of the flow numbers those heads produce.
You can get it through SDPC (sponsor>>>>>) for like $250 with springs in a kit. Just give them a call! I almost went that route but opted for something a bit more potent.
