im installing a vinci 062 cam shortly. what length pushrods do i need? my heads are going to be milled 30. using stock valves and rocker arms. the specs of the cam are 210 218 .551 .551 112 lsa.

 

I have the same cam and have Thunder Racing 7.4" pushrods. Any 7.4s will work.

 

i thought you would have to use 7.35" if you had your heads milled any more than .020" Im pretty sure i would use those rather than the stock length of 7.400"

 

Many aftermarket cams require longer pushrods because of a smaller base circle. You have to check with the cam manufacturer to be sure. You should also check yourself with a pushrod length checker before ordering them.

 

Doh! I missed the part about the milled heads. You are correct, I would run 7.35s in that case.

 

but u have to 7.425" rods if u go with an aftermarket cam due to the base circle...thats what i read on this very forum.

so adjust the .05 for the milled heads adn you'll need 7.420..lol
