Default catalytic headache bullsh!t damn it f%ck

i am beginning to think that there at not any cats made that will fit and function in my truck. i have blown out 2 sets of the metallic spun magnaflows... 59959s

RCSB 2wd with 6.0 80e (~700 @ crank)
SW LTs and true dual 3" with x pipe and dual 14" mufflers right before the axle. dumps behind the bumper.

i measured a set of 2500hd 6.0 cats...they are huge 7" round 11: long. they wont fir at the header collectors due to frame/tranny clearance.

i may be able to relocate or remove the x pipe and set them staggered...further down stream, but im concerned they wont get hot enough.

has ANYONE had luck with non OEM cats with a similar setup?

i have been researching other brands of metallic cats...SLP, random technology, eastern catalytic, some ebay cats out of australia that are 100 cell per square inch etc.

i would stay cat delete, but cant stand the smell. i can fix the noise with more/bigger mufflers, but stink has gotta go.

-patrick

oh yeah...and thanks ahead of time.

the cats are actually stamped with model number and production date.

this is a picture of my first set of 59959s...they go for about $100 each. magnaflow also has the 59559, numbers are close...its an inch longer and and inch larger in diameter, bust costs twice as much.

my second set of 59959s had a similar fate...once balled up inside the cat...the other one empty...found the guts stuck in my x-pipe...oops.

has anyone tried the more expensive 59559?

Have you noticed how far the 2500 car sit back on the exhaust.Mine are under the bed of the truck about 18" in front of where the stock muffler would be but they are staggard.Give me your email I will shoot you some pics.of my exhaust. This is a ecsb btw that has passed the sniffer like it is.

i did notice how far they sit back....problem is that my chassis is too short. it would be no problem with an extra cab. it might be possible....very slim chance, but i would have to rip out the majority of my brand new true dual system.

the truck runs awesome...super strong.
