and thanks for the generosity.

I would call Magnaflow and tell them of your dilemma. At minimum, they should be getting you a new set of cats for free....and while they're at it, ask the what the hell is going on with their cats!!!

spoke with magnaflow... they suggested i mount them 24" from the collector. again space becomes an issue with my chassis.

and they CANT give me cats because i am in california.

i am going to add two more 14" cgs mufflers. might get a pair of SLP metal cats since they are 200 cells per inch and metallic. all of the magnaflows are 300 cells per inch, which is 50% more restrictive. i found some metal cats out of australia that are only 100 cells per inch...going to get more info.

also going to call random technology today.

the battle continues.....or just sell/part out the damn thing.

Any idea why the cats are blowing out? How's your tune? With proper tuning you can go catless and minimize the exhaust odor quite a bit...plus the smell is behind you, the person following you will have to deal with the smell

the cats are too close to the collector. I installed my magnaflows with ceramic internals after the trans crossmember and have had no issues i blew out my stainless works in one day at the collector.
