If you’re considering swapping to the C6 Z06 six piston calipers, you may also want to look into a set of the single backing plate pads available from MTI Racing instead of using the factory or factory style padlets. The Carbotech Bobcat 1521 pads are Ceramic based friction material supposedly offering minimal rotor damage and non corrosive dust. The Bobcat 1521 compound pads are advertised to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer and has also been found to extend the life of your rotors 2-3 times so they say.

These are Single-backing plate pads. These provide a larger brake pad surface area and more consistent brake wear compared to the factory individual padlets setup. Removal of the inner calliper pins is required.

They carry an about average price of $269.00 for the front pads.
