Default CXracing vs Garrett Intercooler

I had to compromise on core size as I wanted a bolt in without having to cut my frame. Due to the thickness of the core I did have to cut my lower bumper brackets off (doesn't do anything significant).

CXracing core is 19.5 x 11.5 x 3" and rated at 300 hp.
Garrett core is 18 x 12.1 x 4.5" and rated at 785 hp.

CXracing is $100 and the Garrett was $750. The Garrett core itself can be purchased in the $400-500 range.

Gotta pay to play, but for the difference I hope it makes a noticeable change for you.

Yeah I dunno why you didn't just run non-intercooled this whole time lol. That CX racing **** is, well...****. It is honestly a waste of good aluminum.

Garrett is a hi density core.
Cx is not.
Be cool to see a comparison.

I haven't been able to work on the truck today but I will have the new intercooler mounted tomorrow. I will hit up the track next Friday pending the weather and will have a comparison for you, both in IATs and track times. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I am significant gains from this swap.

Also, if you made your race intercooler kit using Garrett core I would have bought the kit from you.

You couldn't specify to me what core you were using, but in my research, Garrett air to air cores are the best you can buy. That's why I wanted it.

Also, I will not be doing back to back testing with the intercoolers.

My recent track runs should be a pretty good comparison, ambient then was 95* and we are at 90* ambients now in late september.

What I am going to be interested in is IAT change over the course of the pass from the staging lane to the end of the run and trap speeds.
