Yes but is there supposed to be one on top of injector that goes into the rail plus one inside the fuel rail? The bottom of the injectors going to the intake have a black o ring. the top of the injector going into the rail has a blue o ring. Inside the rail itself is another blue o ring. Does that sound right? I am thinking he left the old o ring in the rail and is why i cant get it in but not sure.

No, there should only be 1 oring on top. Take the one that is stuck in there out and everything should be fine.

So I guess this is what a melted piston looks like! cylinder wall looks pretty damaged as well. The valves over that piston have metal shavings welded into them but I think the heads and valve train are ok other wise.

So does melted piston equal tuners fault? How do I find out what caused it to happen? Can I have the fuel injector tested to make sure its a 80# injector?

Here's a theory... What cylinders had the double stacked o rings on the injectors? Any chance they are the same ones that melted?

I suppose It's possible the extra o ring restricted the fuel going into the injector causing it to run lean.

I have seen a fuel pressure regulator before which someone tried to replace and it had another o ring bunched up behind it and blocked off fuel flow to the point it would only idle.

Melted piston is usually tuners fault...mismatched injector is a possibility, but unlikely.

Sounds like the guy who swapped injectors and tuned it sucks. Lesson learned, time to move away from that dude.
