Trick turbo installation and review

Picked up the reman yesterday. Trying to decide if I want to try and install my performance cam from the old engine or not. Never put a cam in a v8 so probably not going to mess with it. I think I am going to keep the old engine and let them keep the core fee. So I can try and rebuild it when I have time and money. That way I'll have a spare

the instructions from the reman engine say the engine oil cooler has to be replaced if there are metal shavings present in the old engine. There is no effective way to flush it. This would mean replacing the radiator in my truck. That's not cheap.
How do I go about cleaning the intake manifold? mine has lots of oil in it plus some shiny stuff I am assuming is metal.

the cheapest radiator I can find is $230 with trans and oil cooler. Wont the oil cooler be necessary with a turbo?
Does the intake manifold separate? Is there an upper and lower or just one piece?

Just one piece, but you can hit it through the ports and TB opening.
Oil cooler is a good idea, but not mandatory according to some. You could always use an aftermarket cooler. What size radiator do you have? Heres a 34" one with cooler ports 2004 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 HD Spectra Premium Radiators CU2370 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

I've got a cooler I just pulled off mine and replaced it with the 40k tans cooler. It's practically brand new, just flush out the ATF and you can just PayPal me the cost to ship it to you.
