Default Roush TVS sensors, TMAP/IAT question

What with the TMAP Sensor (GM P/N: 90423637) TMAP Wiring Jumper (GM P/N: 88988320) parts they recommend? Can you use them in a NBS with the Roush kit or is it just better to get an IAT sensor drill & tap it into the lower manifold as TIM Z & 06vortecmaxxx did?

The GM parts should give the cleaner/stock looks, but don't have a clue if it brings out other issues, with tuning mostly or with my truck being an '06.

I believe that tmap sensor is a 2 bar sensor which the pcm in the nbs trucks will not support without a custom operating system. Installing the separate iat sensor and stock map sensor is the path of least resistance.

Thanks for your help, if that's the easiest way so be it.

You're still on the stock tranny, right? How's it holding up under boost? That's the only thing that's holding me back on the SC install, I had the money to get a built tranny as soon as this one decided it was enough but had to pay some bills and now I can't afford one loll
Oh well, a few more months and should be done, but looking at the blower every time I came into the house doesn't help any lol

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's still just a 1 bar, but with a temp sensor built into it. The Roush kits are setup to keep the air flow in the area where a stock MAF on a 07+ trucks and still read to provide fueling.

Thinking back the main reason I didn't try to use that sensor and harness was the expense and the wait to get them. The Iat sensor and harness I used was less than $20 and I reused my map sensor. just had to make a little tab bracket to hold it down and add a couple of fatter o-rings. Seems so work fine, I have well over 6k miles on it. You have to really look to find the iat.
