old school newbi here
Wow, there is a lot of good info, awesome pics and cool s#!t on this forum. I havn't done a build since the early 80s when the kids started coming, back then it was a 68 charger 440 magnum putting out roughly 550hp, lowered, centerlines and corvette yellow, smooooth. As well as my old ****** low hood with a buick v-6, gm 3/4 leafs on all four corners, Saginaw power steering, Toronado tilt telescope with vovlo buckets, the roll bar doubled as the air holding tank, back when the rubicon was a big deal yeah i'm old. Soooo the kids are grown and winter is coming so I'm thinking on doing my 2004 gmc 2500hd 6.0 vortec, mild build, its a good platform to start with I think. Body and interior are pristine, 87,000 miles. Starting with Warn locking hubs, a two inch tortion bar lift and rear add a spring two inch, then put some 4.88's in the pumpkins then maybe even open the hood and see what's up with these new small blocks. I always loved the sound of a high revving small block. so this is me and I'm sure I'll be having lots a questions since I don't understand anything that has an ECM, an O2 sensor and doesn't have a carburetor. But I know I do like the EFI when it's minus 30 degrees outside, thanks in advance to alllllll
