Default exhaust cut out and a turbo

I want to open my cut out when I go to the track this weekend. I've been reading (google searches, not necessarily on GM based cars) and many people are saying it needs to be tuned with the cut out open if you are to use the cut out

will it screw me up if I open the cut out?

what is a dangerous AFR? my tuner said he tuned it for 11.5 (using his own AFR sensor/gauge) when I'm WOT it shows 11.1 though on my gauge. Should I plug it up if I see over 11.5 on MY gauge?

IMO, at 8psi, you are good to 11.8-ish, or even close to 12.0 at the higher RPM.

Don't get pissed at me if the **** hits the fan & you blow your **** up though.....

Also helps to have good fuel too like 100+ octane for the track days.

i use 12.0 under boost is the shut down area to keep things safe so 11.5 would be good also

tune up for 11.3 through full exhaust, should go to the high 11's with the cutout open... this is depending on how restrictive your exhaust system is too.

what is happening literally that causes the AFR to change cutout open or closed?

seems like with the cutout open, nothing should change as far as AFR, since the o2 sensors are still pre turbo. But idk so this is why I'm asking you guys lol

I was thinking it would only help how quickly the turbo spools up and the MAF (if not SD tuned) and O2's would compensate for it.

I'm sure will chime in with actually results.
