They rarely take applications since work is slow, so this is one of the few dates this year they are taking them. You will need to have your HS transcript sealed showing that you have taken (and passed with a "C" or better) at least algebra 1 and graduated, Drivers Licsence, Birth Certificate, and SS card.
ETI Apprenticeship Applications
Applications will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in 2011 on October 26.
The written exam will begin after the application process. Oral interviews will be scheduled for those who pass the exam.
If you need further information please call 323-221-5881.

As a first year apprentice I believe start you off at $14 plus and hour. After 5 years schooling/ on the job training you become a journeyman Electrician and currently we top out at $36.45. Foreman and General Foreman get paid around $40.

this is a better option imo just have ur taxes in order they wanted to see all my stuff...really they just want to verify ur experience and lookin at ur taxes is the best way to verify .... at least for a general license (B) g\l

I took my license test after I finished my apprenticeship back in 07 and it was so easy. I finished the 4 hour 100 question test in just over an hour and got a 92. Then, my dumb *** let it expire and had to take the test over. Only this time it changed and its like 100 times harder. It took me 3 hours 45 minutes and I got a 72. 70 is passing. I highly recommend some sort of schooling to take this test. Well for California anyways, not sure what other states are like.

They only ask for pay stubs if you have previous experience. They will credit you hours towards your apprenticeship and you will get paid more versus someone like me who got in knowing nothing. If you have worked 5 or more years in the trade then you can just take the journeyman test and the license test and bypass the whole apprenticeship, but you have to prove the 5 years or more.
