Default Is it my gauge or sending unit?

When I crank the truck, my oil pressure goes to 80 and stays, turn off the key it goes back down. Turn key to "on" position, without engine running, it stays at 0. Would this be my sending unit, the gauge, or the stepper motor for the gauge? Thanks guys

Why not reach back and unplug the sending unit to make sure?
