Default E-Fans for 99 silverado install

Im looking to install efans on my 99 silverado instead of a clutch system like i currently have. I have an hp tuner pro and have explored how to turn them on as well as adjust on-off times but Does any one have a recommendation on a fan part number or what vehicles have the fans i need as well as a harness i can buy to tie them into the factory harness. Is this all do able.

you can get 05+ fans, they bolt in as long as you have the 34" rad. and black bear sells a harness for this install.

I bought some LS1 fans on tech for like $75. They don't bolt right in, but all you have to do is make some brackets that hold it up against the back of the radiator. I used some strip aluminum from Home Depot, cut and bent to shape, drilled a hole in one end, and bolted them to the upper and lower radiator supports where the fan shroud used to attach. Then I got a Nelson wiring harness for them.

You could also use some heavy duty zip ties. That looks alot cleaner than some home made brackets, unless you spend hours of fab work for them to look clean. Ive seen other people use them and that's what I'm going to use when I install my fans after the 6.0 swap.

Does the black bear harness tie into your factory harness. DOes it come with a wiring diagram. I would like to use a factory style setup so i can set them up with my HP Tuner.

It's a separate harness. You ground it at the alternator, get power from the red junction box, one signal wire goes into the PCM connector, and another signal wire goes to the A/C switch. All the connections are made on the left side of the engine around that red junction box; pretty simple to install. This is how the Nelson harness is installed, I assume the BlackBear is similar.

Here's a video I saved explaining the LS fan swap. He doesn't go into wiring at all.
