Default Anyone else have rich idle issues with 42/44lb 8.1L marine injectors

Well i have been having a issue for awhile with these marine injectors. My trims go WAY negative at idle with the truck ingear. Well i am decelerating right at 1200rpm the trims start going negative. But in park they are fine. Yes i could bastardize my throttle cracker table to compensate but that is not the right answer. I have tried adjusting all the pulse width tables and it has yeilded limited results. I have tried using my stock injector values and adjusted the IFR no help. I have also tried using stock 8.1l injector values and adjusting the IFR and no help. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Make sure the VE table is correct in those areas and have you tuned the base running airflow table?

The VE is pretty accurate, and the base running airflow table is within reason... I have added and subtracted values from the desired airflow table and it had not affect... I need to do more logging, i am starting think it may not be the injectors and may be related to Transient closed throttle settings....

MAF going bad? Try a known good MAF if you can get your hands on one.

MAF is good and steady at various loads and RPMS, I don't think it is issue, because when i tune in SD, the same issue occurs....

Happens in open loop AND in closed loop?

I'm just trying to think out loud here. Sorry if I'm being redundant.

Is this on your truck? How big is the overlap on the cam? I put 60's in my truck, and had to put the min pulse width in the negative to get it to work properly. I wouldn't think you would need to do that with marine injectors. Did someone possibly increase the flow in them?

Well i spent the day dicking with the truck. I took off my ypipe and put a
Flat file to all the vbands, they were not completely flat from the black on the the passenger side was leaking a little bit. I ditched the TR6s and put in some new TR5s. I recalibrated my wideband too.
Next i started over with the tune. I used a 2004 8.1L injector setting except for the flow rate. I adjusted it for the 42lbers.

Redid the VE and MAF and the problem was still there on wierd occassions. So i got to digging. I made a map of the throttle cracker table with the BEN factor fromy LTFTs. LOW AND BEHOLD that was the problem. I had WAY to much in some areas and not enough in others. Made some adjustments and it is doing tons better.
