just basic hand tools and a jack. you will want a kit with the bumper brackets and splash guards. It only took me four hours to do my body lift.

Basic hand tools, a jack, and some pieces of wood for jacking up cab.

Summit brand body lift is fine.

What are you trying to clear? Post was a bit fuzzy.

what truck are you trying to acheive the lift on? both trucks are tbar suspension so technically there is no leveling kit to buy for the truck you just simply crank the torsion bars (which if you need me to explain further more i will). measure the front fenders height and measuer the rear fender height there should be about a 1.5-2" difference wit the front being lower. crank the bars so that they are higher or level with the rear. more than likely your stock keys will be maxed before you are able to crank the front over 2" from its stock location. in this case you could purchase ford torsion bar keys from the ford dealership which will allow you to crank the bars even more (keep in mind it severely affects ride quality). as far as the body lift goes basic hand tools, and some key things to remember before isntall is to take measurements before you start for the space btween the bumpers(front/rear) and the truck and the space between the cab and the bed. and your gonna want to lift the cab before the bed and when doing the bed try to match your previous measurement same with reinstalling bumpers.

X2, I used the Summit body lift on my truck and it came with Performance Accessories instructions. IIRC, it was $90 less than the PA kit.

+1 to what everyone else said. Its really a simple install (especially since I was in the middle of a swap and the motor was out) No special tools, just make sure you disconnect ALL ground straps and necessary wires.

Body lifts dont take that long my advice is to buy the kit they are around 300 comes with the bolts and everything you need its worth spending the money esspicialy for the steering extension. I built my own body lift for my 2000 silverado took more time and effort making the parts or going to go get them if someone had them, buy one trust me

The kit from summit will have everything u need including bumper brackets, and steering extesnsion I do reccomend gap guards which are an additional 80$ but well worth the money IMO

I had a PA body lift, front bumper brackets were worthless, only thing that the kit comes with that is nice to have is the rear bumper brackets, you dont NEED a steering shaft extension, but it is nice, I sold my PA body lift a few months ago and just decided to make myself a body lift for the winter, really easy and saved myself over 200 bucks
