Default Mickey Thompson ATZ

Looking at 285/75/16 ATZ's for 02 EC Silverado. Been running Mickey Thompson MTX for past 50K, and have liked them. Since they don't make the MTX anymore, considering ATZ, but wondering about wet traction, snow & ice performance, road manners, longevity???

A friend of mine has a set of MTZs on his crew cab sierra 4x4 and he loves them..very quiet on the road and have great traction on and off road in any weather condition. Id recommend them for sure.

I've got the MTZs and love them, and my buddy has the ATZs and feels the same way.

If they weren't only available in a load range E in my size, they'd be my next tire for sure. One set of load range E tires is enough for me.

The 285/75/16 ATZ is load range D, which is the same as the 285/75/16 MTX's that I'm currently running, which I've been happy with. The MTX's have 3 perpendicular sipes per lug which have provided good wet & snow traction, and they've been good in mild mud as well......overall good A/T tire. Just want more of the same. Love the look of the ATZ, which is a bit more aggressive looking than the MTX, especially the sidebiters, and the tread depth is 20/32, compared to 16.5/32 on the MTX, so that is good. Wondering if the ATZ rubber compound is harder or softer than the MTX, or about the same?

Thanks for the pic. Have you been pleased with them so far? What size are you running?
