So this is the final work that the ECSB is going to see aside from regular maintenance. Picked up the 6.0 LY6 today; Pat G cam (222/226 .602/.605 114+2) and associated hardware, along with a downsized (properly sized) S465 turbo is en route. If this setup makes anywhere north of 600rwhp, I'll be a happy camper. The smaller turbo should spool pretty much yesterday, so it'll make for a hell of a daily driver.

For those who have never seen a 6.0

Have a couple questions now, and there will probably be more. One is the pic with the proposed coolant crossover idea. I would like to prevent messing up any more valves because of a cylinder getting too hot. My idea is basically to use another coolant crossover on the rear of the engine and connect the rear to the front hose with a T-fitting. Hopefully relieve some of the vapor pressure.
Also, how much power are the LY6 rod bolts good for? Should I look at some upgraded hardware while the engine is out of the truck?
I gave my Pat G cam specs to TSP, and they were convinced that the values I got from him were with the 1.6 ratio rockers, which is the reason for the high lift numbers. With the 1.7s both valves are over .600...but now I'm concerned about PTV. Can anyone verify or deny that this much lift will work without issue?
What spark plugs should I be looking at, TR6 or TR7?
Opinions are always appreciated. Thanks guys.

Cool setup bout to be installed!

Hope this one is the " one" that does it for ya.

I know of a stock bottom end 6.0 in a GTO with front mount that Made 825 to the tires with a front mount, but bent the rods slightly, pistons / rings were perfect as well as the rod bolts.

I hear that 800rwhp is the limit on stock rods.

Just pop that bad boy in and go, but if ya got the time any money rod bolts are going to be good insurance.

Why don't you buy a stock four-corner coolant crossover from the earlier LS1's and be done with it? I remember you saying something about your intake getting in the way of the front cross-over's, is that still accurate?

Ive done exactly what youre talking about with the crossover... works fine

your lift numbers seem fine to me.... but i dont have a definitive answer for your PTV concerns

You crossover should be ok. I just saw on ls1tech an after marked set up that just had a4 point distrabution block for all 4 ports. Your cross over tube should be similar.

Some guys just drill and tap the 4 water holes and install niples. Then you can hard line or run hose how ever you want.

Nice starting point. Coolant x-over idea looks sound. I think when the time comes I'm going to put the urban distribution block on mine. I apologize if I missed it, but how did the #7 plug look on your 5.3?

Those lift numbers are just fine unless youre going to retain the VVT? The Kurt Urban vapor system is pretty damn sweet, Id go with that or the four corner system out of the earlier LS1s.

I might have my old 4 corner coolant crossover tube somewhere if you need one for cheap.
