Well, didnt break anything! Best run was a 7.47@96 with a 1.72 60'. HP calculator puts that right at 600-650rwhp which is where I figured I would be. Ran on 2 slicks and dead hooked all 3 times. That kind bummed me out actually since I was used to spinning all 4

I didnt adjust anything for going from the 31" tires to the 28" tires so on the first run it shorted shifted a little bit and ran a 7.56@94 with a 1.7077 60'. Tire pressure around 18psi. Next runs I used the tow/haul button to up the shifts a couple hundred rpm so I didnt have to mess with my normal shift tables, also took out a little bit of fuel since it was rich. I was happy with it shifting at 6300 and 6500, the cam definitely pulls better up top, good job Rob!

IATs were very good, started at ~109 and finished at ~133 spraying 1 14gph nozzle pre-rotors. Boost was about 11-12psi.

I can tell my converter is hurting me on the 60', the highest I saw it brake stall was 2100rpm with a 402 on 12psi I always knew it was tight, but sheesh. At 6000rpm I have less than 5% slip though.

Heres a video,

Im all her glory,

Next on the list is getting my spacer and spray bar setup going...might be a while before I actually buy the nitrous stuff though.

Not bad, should translate to a low mid 11 in the 1/4. Probably feels like a slug on the track compared to the old setup

Truck look sweet man. What wheels you using for slicks? I hope to have my truck back up to your ride height soon! I think I remember seeing you went 14 bolt, so I'll skip the question of whether you're worried about the rear...

Yea that converter is a little too tight... In a perfect world with those cubes and that cam you would flash 3500-3800 RPM. I know that sounds loose, but you're making a ton of torque down there, so the converter will still be 'tight' while cruising and in the upper RPM's. It will be a monster and should still allow for about 5% slip by 6k. Is 2100 your flash speed, or the brake stall speed? How high does it flash before RPM seems to flatten out for a split second once you're WOT? This cam will take a lot more timing down low than that you had in there. Both WOT and cruising. Adding timing at part throttle will get you back almost any power you feel you may have lost going from such a small cam.

How did it feel pulling to 6500? As you add more boost it will bring in the power curve a little, but I would imagine as it sits the cam is happy as a pig in **** with that shift point. Of course you could shift a tad sooner and not lose much as well. Also, how much total timing did were you running?

With the right converter and everything truly dialed in I see absolutely no reason this truck wont run in the 10's easily. You should be able to get it into the 6's in the 1/8 mile.

All that being said, congrats on the first successful runs! It's always awesome to get those under your belt.

Yea its about like the turbo at half throttle
I threw everything I had at this setup with the turbo, so im not really worried at all about anything breaking with the blower, except maybe the waterpump and belt. The trans I put together did very well also, pretty proud of that.

Not sure what the wheels are, but they were the cheapest aluminum 17x9 wheels I could find. Eagle alloy maybe?

2100 is the flash speed, see below

Also notice how straight the speed line is, it doesnt nose over much at all and pulls very well through the rpms. Timing was obviously 17 degrees throughout.

Ah ok I gotcha.

So I see similar RPM with my current converter. I would call that a 3300-3400 flash with 2100 max slip. Still on the tight side. Slightly looser and you would come off the line better, but at only 10PSI off the line thats still solid. I want to see like 15 off the line and 17 by the end of the run!

What converter are you running now? I forget.
17* off the bottom like that should be enough for all the horsepowers off the line. I am surprised it didnt 60' better.

If I get another blower it will be the 4.0 whipple

I see now what you mean about the rpm leveling, I was thinking you meant the slip rpm. Its a PTC triple disc (Which I cant get to lock) 10.5".

It is weird just flat footing it and not having to worry, kinda boring really.

Have you tried adding more timing? With those IATs, the larger cam and meth, I would suspect it would easily take 20 degrees. Mine picked up a couple mph in the 1/4 going from 18 to 20 even with the high IATs I have.
