SORRY GUYS! I totally forgot to update this thing. Truck has been out for a while. We are now tuning on E85. made mid 600's on 21 psi but with my manual boost controller and weak wastegate spring we couldnt get it to turn up any more on the dyno. Will be tuning again this saturday on 28"ish". Truck runs great but with my 342 gears it leaves like a slug. Installed 2 step and we are going to play with it to get it to leave harder. When leaving on just foot brake the 60ft was 2.4.... first launch on 2step set to 2700 cut it down to a 2.1. that was on 15 psi and 93 octane. Lots of room for improvement just need some track time. If you have any questions about the setup i would be glad to answer them. Also i will get some more pics up soon.

Glad you updated the thread. Looks like a clean install under the hood. Outside looks good too! 28psi??!! That boost is cranked!! At what psi did you switch to e85?

You've still got a lot left for that 60ft. On 3.42s, 2 step set to 3500, leaving on 10psi or so I was able to get into the low 1.7s. What does your rear suspension consist of?

Do you know what WOT max boost timing you were running on 93oct and 15psi?

Ok so had a day at the track.... 12.9 @119.9 When trying to foot brake up to the 2 stepI can not rev the truck over 2800. Also dropping 1800 to 2000 on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Seems the more power we made the worse the shift drop got. Its killing me out of the hole because i cant rev past 2800 and only building 4 psi off the line. Converter was supposed to be a 3200 stall and they had all the specs of the build. I will say we told them we were shooting for 900+ but not sure how much that affected it. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you definitely need a better converter. If it were my truck I'd run a Yank PY3600. I'd also go with a steeper gear in the rear, 3.73-4.10's.

UPDATE--- Ok guys so we def had the wrong converter in the #murderaydo like many of you said. I took it down to Atlantic coast and they restalled it for me on the spot. Great People I cant recommend them enough! So while I was at it i changed to a 4 inch core intercooler to keep IAT down. So the last flash we had on the truck was when we tried to go from 26 psi to 28 psi on the old converter and smaller intercooler (just keep that in mind) after swapping the converter and changing the intercooler I took the truck out for a test hit and it saw too much of something and went into limp mode. I turned the boost down to 26 "ish" (manual controller). Did not change a single thing on the tune and 2 stepped to 3000 rpm and still only built 4 psi of boost which is my current battle i cant seem to win... still left sluggish but went 11.6 at 128. I posted time slip here to see. I have exhaust leaks at the dirty dingo cross pipe v-band flanges.... horrible product by the way I would not ever recommend them. Im thinking that is whats killing me on the 2 step boost build and my initial launch getting into boost. I tried making a second pass and the truck was super lean so i parked it. Really happy to see it getting closer off just changing the converter and intercooler. I will be back at the track this weekend and with the proper tune in it i see no reason why we wont see mid to high 10's out of it. I will keep you guys posted with the results. I do have a question though... Why is it that the truck seems to leave worse the higher i rev the 2 step up? when i left at 3000 it was the best yet but still slow so i raised it to 3200 and it was waaay worse? Any advice you guys have on the situation would be really appreciated. Currently using 3600-3800 stall with tick stage 2 turbo cam on 4.8... all the specs are listed earlier in the post. If i can get this thing to leave better i will have a seriously fast truck! Thanks in advance

seems to me like the lower rpm you leave at the less you blow the tires off. think of dumping the clutch at 6k and at 2500. which one will leave you spinning and which will get you going better. Sounds like you found the sweet spot of 3000. my truck is the same. 3K and 0 psi = 1.7 sixty foots. any less or more and it jumps to 2.X sixty foot.

what did the machine shop charge you to do the heads?
