I think all S/C companies need to write in big black BOLD letters that you should never snap the throttle closed or you will snap your belt tensioner. There's a half dozen guys I know that have snapped the stock and HD tensioners simply because they let off the throttle too fast after getting on it.
Well hope you get a nice beefier one soon and get back on the road.

I had never really thought about that... good to know

How do the OEM supercharged applications deal with this?

As long as your tensioner doesn't smack the stops that isnt a issue.

^^ I think 03 nailed it. I am far from easy on my truck and am running the stock tensioner and have not had a single problem yet. I know Roger was in the same boat and he drives just like I do LOL.

I have been running blown setups on my truck since 05', if the if everything is setup so that the tensioner is in the center of its travel then it should not hit the stop. When it smacks the stop that is what breaks them.

If it's set up properly, it won't happen.

Did you **** yourself when you lost the power steering & power brakes?

Yes. Especially since I was coming up on that other truck pretty fast.
