Default B&M ratchet shifter install in a GMT800

Hey Guys,

This morning I installed a B&M Truck MegaShifter to the 4L60E in my '04 RCSB,

I really dig having the shifter on the floor, if not for any other reason than a place to rest my hand while driving.

It truly is an easy install, took a couple hours to finish despite taking it slow with a couple breaks.

I apologize for the quality of the pics, I didn't have my digital camera with me. But instead had my little digital video camera, so we are looking at video stills.

Mounting the shifter:

I managed to get two of the shifter mounting bolts to go through the cab support, and it's very sturdy. I was a little concerned the thin sheet metal of the floor wouldn't make for sturdy mounting. But I'm happy to say there is no shake or loosness at all.

The bracket used for the 700r4 works the same on the 60E

I just simply pulled the column shift arm out, and left the assembly in place making sure it was in the park poisiton.

I haven't relocated the tow/haul button. But I so rarely use it, if ever at all. There really isn't a hurry to get it mounted.

And there it is, a B&M ratchet shifter in a 2004 Silverado

That is a great looking setup! I originally saw this swap in an ss and the guy mounted it in his center console. Either way looks great. I was wondering if you could post up the part number? Thanks again

i had one in my 454ss, i loved it. the shifter alone almost kept me from trading the truck because it was so fun. this makes me want a rcsb to put a megashifter in

NO fair- you got yours to sit up higher than mine..

So you didn't have to re-wire for your "P" indicator cuz you left that part of the shifter in? In other words, did u get the "P" to work?

One more question...ISN'T IT FUUUNNNN!!!??

I think his sits higher because it is the truck megashifter.
