The lc9 crate engine is a non direct replacement, for a production lc9 dod engine.... I would have no problem running the lq9 (12561721) cam as it was what got the idea for this project in my head to begin with....if i could find an l33 cam that would work too... Just cant find duration and lsa specs on factory dod cams

Ill see what i can do, probably have one later this week.... Lol hell have two on floor right now.... Ill see if theres a dead one available tomorrow...may have a bad lobe or two though....

It's not so much the lobes but the main journals.

you can re grind the lobes but the main journals would most likely end up under sized and that would not be good.

What all would be involved in adding vvt to this little project??? I know obviously adding the actuator and vvt cam how hard would it be to run the wires for it and what issues would i run into programming it?? And if anyone has done it how much did it cost?? I ask because i can get a brand new vvt cam for an l96 for less than $100!! Cant see the L96 cam being a bad thing in this 5.3.....then again been known to be wrong before
