Did you pick up a cam yet? I have an ls2 cam which is nearly identical to the ls3. Pm me if you're interested.

Also have a new GM valley pan gasket that I'm not going to use if you're interested

Kinda late but all gmt 900 oil pans have the relief valve in em. Even the 4.8 trucks without dod/vvt. If you have a 4l60 your going to want a small torque biased cam or gears. Gears make a world of difference. Remember youve got a yukon attached to that motor lol.

Nt overly worried about excesive amounts of performance... If i could get a stock cam with exact same specs as the non dod lobes of the cam id be happy... Goal is dod delete not really performance.... If i do anything overly complicated to this its gonna involve a 6l80....

Not overly pressed about relief valve at this point.... Point of it ive found is to keep the pan from being sucked dry, under hard acceleration...

Not sure what the duration and lsa are on the dod cams, but if my math is right the non dod lobes are .481 intake and exhaust and the dod lobes are .490... .283/.289 according to specs.... again no idea what the duration and lsa are on them

L77 has less lift but being a revtangular port head id assume larger split on duration and maybe less lsa??

Ok a 4.8 cam out of a newer L20 is same lobe lift specs as the non dod, but designed for vvt... Would it work without vvt??
