Got the 2014-16 aluminum upper control arms in this morning. I'll try and have all the aluminum suspension on the truck by tonight and have it back on four wheels. New parts are def lighter (46 lbs. lighter) and anything helps to bring the weight of the truck down. Right now with a iron block/22s/half tank of gas its sitting at 5080lbs. For anyone else wanting to swap out to the aluminum parts ill post the part numbers below. Also just a heads up, in order to run the aluminum spindles you need to run the upper AND lower aluminum control arms. The bottom arms and the upper control arm ball joints are bigger and wont work with steel spindles.

Upper Control Arms:

23125969
23125968

Lower Control Arms:

22853474
22853473

Aluminum Spindles:

22842315
22842314

That I don't know... Think the suspension on the 800s is too different so I would think no but hey you know what they say, you can accomplish anything with money time and know how.

Well the aluminum 14-16 suspension does bolt right on BUT you do need the aluminum lower control arm since it too has a bigger ball joint. My lowers haven't come in yet so was gonna try to just run the stock steel ones for now but that's a no go. The lower arm is my steel one I just painted it to match for now. No biggie I'll just wait on that and get other things done.

Did find out something cool today... Unisteer makes some steering joints and shafts that just so happen to fit these trucks steering racks and columns perfect. I test fit this joint and bolts right on but I'm going to need the double joint to make that angle. Might not seem like a big deal but the stock steering joint was twice the size as this one and had a huge protective rubber boot, not good especially since a hot turbo header will be ran right by it. Good for stock but I'm trying to get as much room as I can on that driver side for the turbo header so works perfect for me. Also a plus is these joints and shafts are stainless steel so no issues with heat.

Part Numbers for the shaft and steering joint from Unisteer

23” DD Steering Shaft:

8050520

Double U-Joint 3/4 DD x ¾ DD:

8050900

Yeah save a lot of room too. Hopefully when the double joint comes in everything will work as planned. Next days off I'll finish the suspension and the turbo hot sides.
