Yeah I was just teasing them at 6lbs they are dieing to see 35+ lol Fig they were making around the 650hp mark at 6lbs so they def love boost. On bottle made 581 but with the turbo it wraps out so much faster and pulls forever.

Your heads drilled for 1/2 studs?

I had my 6bolt mast heads drilled for 1/2" studs

Finished smoothing out the intake now just going to have a buddy weld the top and bottom halves together so there is no chance of this thing coming apart under high boost. After that off to the powder coater...

Welding cast isnt all that tricky with the right prep work

i dunno if id weld those two pieces together, the upper piece isnt casted strong enough and the heat from weld will weaken the upper part above where it will be welded. At that point it will be more likely to break above the weld with boost

Seen a few of these intakes fully welded and hold up so will see. Not saying your wrong or anything as I'm no welder just seen more of these intakes posted broken at all the screw points so don't think welding it would make it worse. I see what your saying tho. If you have or seen one of these intakes in person you can see how weak the mounting points look. They are casted small and very thin in some points... Think Holley needs to rethink there casting on this intake as some points are questionable to say the least

I specifically told the shop to not turn the truck on no matter what till I remove the oil pan and clean it out. Well after a week of the truck being there I decided to go by and check the progress. Come to find a big oil spot under a lift and a trail leading right to my truck where it was parked in the back and magically some stock manifolds on the motor. It showed up with my turbo manifolds on and turbo mounted for mock up. I pop the hood to find out the turbo oil feed line was wrapped under the intake and oil EVERYWHERE. After asking about it they insisted it was never turned on even tho it was just way too obvious it was. I told them how the hell did oil end up everywhere and they said it just leaked out of the hose... Ended up picking up the truck since they were finished and had the pan cleaned out and oil changed. Ran the truck for a couple weeks (weekends) and then after doing a few pulls lost oil pressure. Pulled the motor and sent it to a engine shop and they said main bearing fail due to no oil pressure and contamination of the oil pump. They pulled out metal shavings from the pump. Basically it was eating itself up since I started it up after it left that shop. A couple weeks ago found out a kid there at the shop put the stock manifolds on my truck because he wanted to hear it. A guy who works there told me he was revving it up and just jacking with my truck and thats with the oil feed line not connected so engine never had oil pressure the whole time. Who knows how long that kid was messing with it. Been too long to attempt anything but ill just leave it at that and never ever go back to that place.
Damn i would have been pissed, they would have been paying me or something. One reason i hate leaving my truck, never know what some young punk will do..
