Well.... Been a good while since I updated this thread been really busy on the new setup so guess its a good time to chime in. Bad news is the LSX spun a main bearing due to contamination of the oil pump and lost oil pressure. Thats a long story on how that came about but there is a shop here in CC my truck will never go to again. Anyways sold that motor to a buddy and got on the phone with Bryan at LME and ordered up a nasty little setup from them. Another LSX 427 built to handle enough boost to satisfy even me lol. Been getting parts in for the new motor and also finally finishing the fuel system on this thing. Anyways heres a few pics of the progress...

The pan was drilled and tapped for the turbo drain and exhaust needed to be finished up so it was at the exhaust shop. I specifically told the shop to not turn the truck on no matter what till I remove the oil pan and clean it out. Well after a week of the truck being there I decided to go by and check the progress. Come to find a big oil spot under a lift and a trail leading right to my truck where it was parked in the back and magically some stock manifolds on the motor. It showed up with my turbo manifolds on and turbo mounted for mock up. I pop the hood to find out the turbo oil feed line was wrapped under the intake and oil EVERYWHERE. After asking about it they insisted it was never turned on even tho it was just way too obvious it was. I told them how the hell did oil end up everywhere and they said it just leaked out of the hose... Ended up picking up the truck since they were finished and had the pan cleaned out and oil changed. Ran the truck for a couple weeks (weekends) and then after doing a few pulls lost oil pressure. Pulled the motor and sent it to a engine shop and they said main bearing fail due to no oil pressure and contamination of the oil pump. They pulled out metal shavings from the pump. Basically it was eating itself up since I started it up after it left that shop. A couple weeks ago found out a kid there at the shop put the stock manifolds on my truck because he wanted to hear it. A guy who works there told me he was revving it up and just jacking with my truck and thats with the oil feed line not connected so engine never had oil pressure the whole time. Who knows how long that kid was messing with it. Been too long to attempt anything but ill just leave it at that and never ever go back to that place.

Yeah don't think it would have lived this long without my tuners calibrations. We have spent HOURS tuning on just the trans to get it right.

Who tuning your 6l80 if you dont mind me asking. As for the stupid shop messing with your truck thats just a messed up deal. I have my truck setup with a 2step on a switch to not go over 2000rpm and its already worked once when it was getting an alignment.

Well got pretty far on smoothing out this intake. A few more hours and should have it where I want it...
