Default HUmmer H2 cranskshaft, timing chain where to buy ?

Hello Guys,

At last i was able to complete my rebuild, i was able to drive about 1000mi. we had talk with Black Bear, they advice to change camshaft and timing chain back to stock one, because with our petrol quality, car still pings a lot.. which is not safe.

now i got installed:
Camshaft:
Comp cams LS camshaft XR265HR 212/218 degree @ 0.050" 0.558"/0.563"lift
Timming chain:
Manley timing set LS 3-bolt with captive Torrington thrust bearing and 9 keyway sprocket.

so now i will need to go back to stock camshaft and timing chain, but my old chain already had 100000miles on it, so what you think which HD chain is better to buy ? maybe some double roller assembly ?

Also i had little accident with my Harmonic Balancer, bolt on it opened somehow and damaged my crankshaft so now i need to change my crankshaft too

so basically i have 3 question and will love to see you comments and suggestions,

1. Which timing chain is better to buy, so it will be more HD than stock one, but not adjustable ?

2. Which crankshaft better to buy ? and where?

3. After i will change my cranks shaft do i need to install new
Rings,Main bearings, Rod bearings

note: i have supercharger installed with HD rods, HD pistons, pump and etc. and i live in East Europe, where we do not have any shops and engine specialist, so i trying to do all by myself with you helps.

thanks to all in advance.

Thats a heck of a repair to try and do on your own without much experience. I would recommend pulling the engine and putting it on a stand to replace the crank. Doing with it in the truck would be extremely difficult.

I think its interesting Justin recommended putting the stock camshaft back in and not just reducing the boost from the supercharger, but I digress...

The LS2 stock timing chain is more durable than the stock truck chain.
Considering your fuel (power) limitations a stock crankshaft will suffice just fine.
I would install new bearings with a new crankshaft.

thanks a lot for your time..

so you suggest:
to buy new stock hummer timing chain because it is hd enough?
bearing was new, but it is better to change them if im going to put new crankshaft?
which crankshat is better ? to buy new stock crankshaft? i was thinking to buy something more HD items.

No, I suggest a timing chain from an LS2 engine.

If you are trying to save money the stock crankshaft will do you just fine. They have been shown to survive up to 1000hp. If you want to spend some money then callies and lunati have some nice cranks.
