Default Head gasket question

Could someone please tell me how many cc's difference there would be between a head gasket of .051/4.030 vs .051/4.060? I'm working on my exact compression ratio for my build and need this info. Thanks.

Only 0.16cc difference.

Use this compression calculator to play around with your build.

http://www.kb-silvolite.com/calc.php?action=comp

For example if I used my 6.0l build specs, going from a 4.030 to a 4.060 HG drops the compression 0.016 points (9.510 to 9.494.

Thanks. I'm trying to do a 370 build using 62cc heads and am trying to get the compression ratio down to around 9.5:1 but am not having much luck. I've tried different compression ratio calculators and get a lot of different numbers. What components are you using? Head size?

I built a 6.0l 4.005 hone with Wiseco K444x05 11cc dish pistons, Lunati ProMod rods (used but re-sized), stock crank and a new iron block. The pistons ended up being .004 in the hole so I'm a 9.5 compression with a 65cc AFR 225 heads and .053/4.100 HG.

OK thanks, using 4.030 bore, 6.100 rods and .051/4.060 gasket, 11cc dish pistons I get 9.4:1 or so but the pistons are .019 in the hole. Do you think this is too far down?

Alternatively I can go with 6.125 rods and get .006 in the hole but the comp ratio would be 9.95:1.

A third option is to go with -25cc pistons, 6.125 rods, .040 gasket and get the pistons .010 out of the hole and an 8.95:1 ratio.

What would be the best of the three?

Might help if you were more specific about your over all goals. All of those would work for differant situations.

I'm building a high-torque engine for towing but would like a reliable truck that's fun on the street. A sleeper, of sorts.

If you're staying NA I'd get as much compression out of it that I can...I like the 9.95:1 of the three listed...
