Well thats a bummer... haha

Think its possible to run those times with a cam that is a tad more aggressive, but still retains a lot of the characteristics I am after?

Take a look at the setup I'm running in my sig. Tons of low end, and pulls nicely all the way up to 6200.

This thing definitely has 13s in it once I pull the mud tires off, and remember not to run with a FULL tank of gas.

I don't think more cam and more stall will be noticed at all. My truck drives like stock with a lot more noise, power, and tire smoke. Your driveablity is all gonna be in your tune. Get a good tune and you'll be able to get away with more on the street. I agree with GMCtrk I wouldn't be scared to spin it harder, your not gonna hurt it.

DV2000NJ, Was your tune spot on in that run, I thought I remembered you saying there was a lot left on the table with how it was running?
That cam sounds like its not far from the ball park of where I want to be

I think the converter is what will be holding you back

FYI, I am running a 216/227 114lsa and a 2800 stall (currently about 2500, was stalled at 2800 when i was supercharged) The cam has a slight lope but nothing obvious @ 680rpm idle. I didnt notice any low rpm loss and the mid and top pulls much harder. I am also heavier then your truck because of 4 wheel steer & the Dana 60. If I was going to stay NA I would go bigger then what I have but thats not the plan.

13's are going to be tough with a truck that heavy, but I think you'll be close. I agree with Scott, the converter will hold you back, but I think your converter choice will be perfect for that cam and daily driveability. You mentioned wanting the cam to chop...I don't think that you'll really hear that cam in a 6.0 if the tune is spot on. It will sound meaner than stock, especially to a trained ear, but won't lope very aggressively...you could always turn the idle way down if you want lope lol.

On the 14.0 passes, yes everything was running right. I have some exhaust work to do still, but that's really all that was holding it back (other than the heavy mud tires and an extra 80-90 lbs. of gas).

I drive my truck daily, and I'm 100% satisfied with my setup as far as cam/converter go. Tons of low end, and quick enough throughout to surprise people. The converter drives within a couple hundred rpm of the stock converter under light/medium throttle, and flashes right up to 3k when you get on it.

Hmmm, considering that you're running 14 flat with those big mudders on there, maybe high 13's are possible for Vortec350ss with a similar cam and tb converter which should stall around 26-2800 behind that 6.0 I would think...
