Default New usspeedo claster gauge killing my Battery

I have a question maybe you guys can help me. I have a 2008 silverado truck w/t SL and I bouth a new claster gauge with a new red face and bezel from us speedo, This is just like the one that comes in the LT silverado the chrome one with the 6 rings on it, mines only had the 4 ring on it. So I had it re-program and install and we find out latter that its killing my battery. So we got a new one from us speedo and had it install and its doing the same thing, the installer said too much amps, thats why its killing the battery. Do you guys know anybody that had this promble, or can anyone tell me what to do....I really love the new cluster.....need help.....

How can a cluster draw current when the keys off? If your battery was draining from a gauge then something is wrong. No way it's drawing too much power when key on and it shouldn't draw any when key off.

He was telling me it could be because I don't used the truck that much, I dont think thats right....any I will call him....thanks....

I'm not all that savy when it comes to electrical stuff, but... I can not imagine why an instrument cluster would ruin your battery. And also, do you any stereo equipment, aftermarket radio installed, anything along those lines?
