JB1, us speed told me that they sold me a cluster for a 2007, my truck is a 2008 LS. I tought that it would be the same, us speed thought that my tuck was 2007. Some where along the line we got all mix up, But I still dont undstand what is the differnce.
They just told me that they are going to send me a new Cluster. and I said Ok..

Figured 07-09 would all be the same as for the same vehicles. Why should the year matter if it is a nnbs?

gm is getting as bad as ford with changes in their electronics from year to year and model to model. This is one that sometimes has to be learned the hard way. Their logic is that in seven eight nine years they discontinue the electronics and the vehicle will have to be replaced because there wont be parts in the system for it. An everything is VIN programmed so it wont interchange from another vehicle. They are tightening the rope around our necks ever so slowly.

Wow, I'm having a difficult time understanding the "wrong cluster" issue too. I know in 2007 they had the classic body and new body, but I highly doubt that the 2007 classic cluster would have fit into the dash.

Its just weird cause from 99-2003 the clusters were the same and then 2004-2007 classics were the same.
