I actually have a crew cab Keniff. To late, I already Dynoed in 3rd gear but we couldn't make the TCM keep it in 3rd. It kept downshifting into 2nd. I was on a mustang dyno so I got deflated second gear numbers. 303 RWHP. The tech said I would have about a 12% reduced number doing a 2nd gear pull so he estimates 335ish HP at the wheels.
Yeah, I'll install a trans cooler with a stall. I have a factory installed trans cooler, should I run like a 30K cooler in series with my factory one?
You guys really like the Circle Ds. I'll check them out.
Keniff, were'd you get your 2 piece driveshaft?
Do you guys have an opinion on building my 4l60 or just buying a built one from somebody like TCI?

i dunno why i thought you had a SCSB im sorry man.

Skipperdaddy got it from a Junk yard. its bone stock, all i did was put a conversion u-joint and make a cross member. ill be changing that over to a better one and have it welded in with safety loops. i just wanted to make sure the swap was worth it. it is...

2nd gear is fine...but not that great.

i installed a 40k and removed my stock cooler.

i loved my Circle D 3200 but i swapped to a PI3600 bc of the deal i got. i will be having Chris @ Circle D rebuild my converter when i swap in a PB lvl 2

i say get a performabuilt LVL 2 (1900 without a converter or 2700ish with a converter)

City MPG will suffer with a stall..... but worth the performance gains
hot damn! not to get off topic, but I have a completely stock '09 RCSB Z71 with 3.73's and I only get maybe 17-18mpg highway if I'm lucky.......what gears and other mods you have to get that kind of mileage???

i think he has 3:42s which help highway mileage a lot.

what tire size are you running? how fast do you drive on the highway? i still get 19.5-20mpg on the highway if i only do 70-73. i have a cam/stall/4:10s and a 6.2/4speed

mines a 2WD, 5.3L w/3.73 factory limited slip. Longtubes, catless y-pipe, servo, K&N, taylor wires, Vette Servo, Summit underdrive pulley and tune. On 22" wheels 305/40R22. And yeah, thats the MPG I got going to Austin. Filled up here in McAllen, TX and made it to Austin with a bit over a quart and a half left on the tank. That was about 315 miles

sorry blackjack i just thought you'd be on 3:42s every truck i seen came with them.

that's some good mpg with those mods.

i see 14.5-15 in city if i dont run the hell out of it playing around. but i dont even look at gas mileage anymore...you gotta pay to play
