Default Weird Noise coming from front passenger wheel...?

Got truck in sig. The front passenger side wheel started making a squealing noice a couple weeks ago, so I put need pads on. Went away for a couple days and its back. Its a constant, on again, off again squeal. If you turn to the right, it stops, if you turn left, it gets louder... Can't for the life of me figure it out....

Any ideas/suggestions???

Thanks in advance!

Thinking that but wouldn't it squeal constantly? and not when turning one way and get louder turning the other? Its somewhat high pitched...

Thanks!

Could be a rock or something in between the rotor and backing plate maybe. did you removed the rotors?

When it's making the noise, can you apply the brakes and make it change/go away? If it does, then you are dealing with a brake issue. Did you resurface the rotors when you replaced the brake pads?

No, didnt remove the rotors...

Rotors were replaced by the dealership at 40,000 due to have 2 sets warp... But it DOES stop sometimes when I appy the brakes... Could the calipers be "hanging"...??

Thanks!

Ok, then I'm gonna suggest removing the rotors, have a machine shop resurface them on a lathe(should be done with new brake pads anyway), and re-scuff your new pads with a brown roloc disc. Your noise is most likely because you have new pads riding on glazed rotors.

did u put the high temp grease on the backs of the pads? Cud be that simple...make sure the calipers are centered on the rotor (duh!). Take the rotors off and wire brush the hub surface making sure there's no loose or scaleey rust? This last prob not the prob, but u never know! Resurfacing is always an option, but try all the cheaper ones first!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

It stopped today. But took the wheel of anyway and looked around a bit.

I did put the grease behind the pads. So I will try brushing everything really well and see if that helps, if it starts again, then I will have the rotors turned..
