Anyone know how to take apart the folding middle seat. Its starting to be a pita to open.

 

There are some bolts on the hing under the plastic cover I believe. Try that. Coudl just need some grease.

 

Just wiggle and giggle it a bit to get it to open then spray some dry teflon lubericant on the catch mechanism. Did that to mine 4 years ago when it wouldn't open and havent had a problem since.

 

You mean wiggle, giggle, slam, slap, and cuss right. I've been meaning to skeet some teflon spray in there, but figgured maybe take it apart and clean the mechanism too.
Maybe I'll just spray some stuff in there and hope it works

 

If you pull hard enough it will pop open....I had mine replaced under warranty though so I wasn't worried about making it last.

LMAO at this thread. Mine has not ever been opened since I got my truck. It was stuck shut and the latch won't work. There is something in there that I can hear rattling around. I'm gonna bust into it just to find out what it is.

 

I used a screwdriver to get mine apart and a big c-clamp to get it snapped back in place.
