Alright so I was looking at photos and I saw someones stock cluster in a SS with an instant mpg readout in the dic. My 05 has the standard average mpg overall readout, but no instnat. Is there anyway to get an instant mpg display programmed into the dic?

My 2005 doesn't have it either, and my buddies 2004 does. For some reason they didn't use it in the 2005's. I would love to have the instant mpg option on mine. My average mpg says 15.3 right now, so I'm curous what it would read on the highway.

 

if you have the steering wheel controls just push and hold the return key to reset the average number, it will reset the average count so when your on a freeway hit it to see your true(ish) freeway mpgs

 

Yeah I have done the avg mpg reset in the past, just was figuring if I could get the instant mpg added somehow

 

Any how to's to get this to mpg display on 04 sierra?

 

i just bought a 05 CC z71 and i was wondering if anyone figured out how to get it to display? my 03 sierra has it and i like the feature.
